Membership Year
Prospective members may complete an application and join OCBA at any time during the year. Our membership year runs June 1 through May 31. Annual dues notifications are sent prior to and during the renewal period, which runs from mid-April through July 1. A $25 late fee is assessed for dues not received within the renewal period.

A prerequisite to membership in OCBA is acceptance of two (2) pro bono cases per year from the Legal Aid Society. In lieu of cases, you may elect to pay a fee. Please contact the Legal Aid Society at 407-841-8310 for details.

The OCBA offers the following membership levels:

• Regular Membership - attorney admitted in good standing to the Florida Bar; resides in or practices at least part time in Orange County. Fee: $100.00; includes complementary luncheons.
• Government - attorney admittedin good standing to the Florida Bar; resides in or practices at least part time in Orange County and is employeed by a Government Agency. Fee: $100.00; includes complementary luncheons.
• Judicial - Judge; Fee: $0.00; includes complementary luncheons.
• Honorary - by invitation only. Fee: $0.00; includes complementary luncheons.
• Associate - retired jurist or OCBA member over the age of 65; or a member of the Florida Bar not actively practicing in Orange, Seminole or Osceola counties; or an attorney not admitted to the Florida Bar but admitted in good standing to a practice in another state. Fee: $50.00.
• Associate with luncheons - same membership criteria as Associate, but includes luncheons. Fee: $100.00.
• Affiliate - paralegal; legal assistant; law office administrator; law librarian; international associate; or criminal justice. Fee: $50.00.
• Affiliate with luncheons - same criteria as Affiliate, but includes luncheons. Fee: $100.00
• Law Student - enrolled in law school. Fee $25.00.
• Law Student with luncheons - same criteria as Alw Student, but includes luncheons. Fee: $75.00
• Paralegal Student - enrolled in paralegal courses. Fee: $25.00
• Paralegal Student with luncheons - same criteria as a paralegal student, but includes luncheons. Fee $75.00
