Elizabeth F. McCausland

Liz McCausland earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 1994 and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1997. Prior to starting Liz McCausland PA Ms. McCausland practiced general civil litigation. She now concentrates her practice in bankruptcy and mediation. She is a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and has conducted over 500 Mortgage Modification Mediations since the inception of the Orlando Bankrutpcy Divisions’ Mortgage Modification Mediation Program.
Ms. McCausland is a member of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, the Orange County Bar Association (Board Member), The Legal Aid Society (Board Member), Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (Past Treasurer), and the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association.

Most recently Ms. McCausland was awarded the Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Award Certificate and the Orange County Bar Associations’ 2007 Young Lawyers Lawrence G. Mathews Professionalism Award. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Devereux Foundation and the Florida Bar’s Committee to Study the Decline in Jury Trials.

Judith M. Mercier

Judith M. Mercier concentrates in complex civil litigation as a trial lawyer and appellate advocate. Her practice encompasses a broad range of substantive areas with specific areas of focus including contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property and media law. She has significant experience with large, complex cases requiring litigation management and logistic skills. Additionally, as national counsel for clients, she manages a team of attorneys handling numerous cases filed in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Ms. Mercier has represented clients in jury and nonjury trials, appeals and arbitrations. She is a former CPA who has served as a court-appointed equity receiver over seven corporations in an action in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Ms. Mercier is a member of the firm's National Media Team and served for three years as the national chair of the Holland & Knight Women’s Initiative. Ms. Mercier served as a member of the firm's Diversity Council and is a graduate of the Rising Stars program, an intensive year-long leadership program sponsored by the Women's Initiative.

The Hon. A. Thomas Mihok

A. Thomas  Mihok  presently serves as a Circuit Judge for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida.  He was appointed to the bench in 1995 by Governor Lawton Chiles.  Since being appointed to the bench, Judge Mihok has been re-elected three times without opposition.  He presently serves in the civil division of the court.  He has previously presided over felony, juvenile delinquency, and domestic  relations divisions of the Ninth Circuit.  During his career, Judge Mihok has tried cases involving, among other things, charges of first degree murder, medical malpractice claims, real property disputes, election controversies, and serious personal injury claims.
Judge Mihok has also had the opportunity to serve as an Associate Judge on the 4th and 5th District Courts of Appeal.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy in 1967, Judge Mihok served five years in the United States Navy as a jet carrier pilot.  After an honorable discharge in 1972, he went to Stetson University College of Law where he received his law degree in 1975.  From 1975 to 1978, Judge Mihok served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.  He was in private law practice from 1978 until his appointment to the bench in 1995. 
Judge Mihok is a past faculty member of the Florida College of Advanced Judicial Studies and the Florida Conference of Circuit Judges.  He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at Barry University College of Law where he has taught trial advocacy since 2008.

Jamie Billotte Moses

Ms. Moses is a board certified appellate specialist with the law firm of Fisher, Rushmer, Werrenrath, Dickson, Talley and Dunlap, P.A. Ms. Moses serves as the Secretary of the Orange County Bar Association and is Chair of the OCBA's Judicial Relations Committee. Ms. Moses has been very active in The Florida Bar as well having served as President of the Young Lawyers Division and a member of the Executive Council of The Florida Bar. In additional to handling appeals, Ms. Moses represents real estate professionals in litigation and licensing issues.

The Hon. Donald A. Myers

Judge Myers has served as a Circuit Judge since January 2011 following his election to the bench. He was initially assigned to the Unified Family Court Division in Osceola County where he handled Domestic, Domestic Violence and Juvenile Delinquency cases. Judge Myers was subsequently assigned to a Felony Criminal Division in Orange County, and currently serves in the Civil Division in Orange County. Judge Myers graduated from Emory University with a B.A. degree in Psychology and a M.M.Sc. in Communicative Disorders. He attended the University of Florida Law School and graduated with honors in 1989. Judge Myers was a civil trial lawyer for more than 20 years handling cases throughout the State of Florida.
