Director of Public Accountability  The Office of Monique H. Worrell, State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, is currently seeking a candidate for the Director of Public Corruption. In this role, the ideal candidate will oversee the Public Corruption Unit and the management of the Prosecutors and Staff assigned to the Public Corruption Unit. The Director of Public Corruption’s duties include, but are not limited to, the investigation and prosecution of crimes committed by law enforcement officers and appointed or elected officials. Discretion and mature legal judgment is essential. Preference will be given to prosecutors with superior writing skills, significant trial experience, superior organizational and investigative skills and management skills. A candidate’s background must demonstrate that they are willing to investigate and prosecute law enforcement or public officials where appropriate and try challenging cases.   • Bachelor’s degree, or comparable experience required. Law office and legal experience preferable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to understanding and addressing issues of low-income clients.
  • Excellent phone manner with superior organization and highly polished communication and writing skills, computer proficiency (Microsoft Office 365), video conferencing proficiency (Zoom, Microsoft Teams), Bilingual (English Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to perform duties and attend meetings and/or other functions throughout 12 county service areas.
