OCBA Committees

The OCBA has 24 substantive law and four special program committees designed to provide you with current and timely information in your legal specialty area, develop CLE seminars, submit articles for The Briefs magazine, and participate in a wide variety of community service projects and OCBA-sponsored social networking events. We encourage you to become involved with one or more of these committees.

To join a committee, log in to the OCBA website to update your membership record, and select the committee or committees you are interested in joining. There is no fee to participate in a committee! Several times per year, our membership department makes lists of committee members available to the chairs. Or, feel free to reach out to the committee directly and get involved!

Committees are responsible for conducting two minor and one major seminar per year. The OCBA provides meeting space at no charge, will apply for CLE credit upon submission of complete program information, and will handle seminar advertising. Also, we work with each committee to find sponsorships. Contact our Events & Seminars Department for details about scheduling seminars and the requirements for obtaining CLE. Additionally, committees are responsible for submitting two substantive article annually for publication consideration in the Briefs. The bar publishes nine issue of the Briefs each year. For details, contact the Publications Department.
