OCBA Committees

The OCBA has 24 substantive law and four special programs committees designed to provide you with current and timely information in your legal specialty area, develop CLE seminars, submit articles for The Briefs magazine, and participate in a wide variety of community service projects and OCBA-sponsored social networking events. We encourage you to become involved with one or more of these committees.

To join a committee, just update your membership record, and select the committee or committees you are interested in joining. There’s no charge! Several times per year, our membership department makes lists of committee members available to the chair. Or, feel free to reach out to the committee directly and get involved!

Committees are responsible for conducting two minor and one major seminar annually. The OCBA provides meeting space at no charge, will apply for CLE credit upon submission of complete program information, and will handle seminar advertising. We will work with you on finding seminar sponsorships.

For details about scheduling seminars and the requirements for obtaining CLE, please contact the Events & Seminars Department.

Committees are also responsible for submitting two substantive article annually for publication consideration in The Briefs. The bar publishes nine issue of The Briefs each year. For details, please contact the Publications Department.
