What is the Pro Bono Service Requirement?

The OCBA is proud that our members are dedicated to provide access to justice for those who are less fortunate through our partnership with the Legal Aid Society of the OCBA. As a condition of membership, attorney members are required to complete one of the following each year:

1) Sign up to receive up to two (2) pro bono cases per year if needed/assigned by the Legal Aid Society.

2) Make a donation of $350 to the Legal Aid Society.

3) Volunteer for an approved Legal Aid Society project.

Government attorneys are not subject to this requirement. See the Legal Aid Society of the OCBA’s Pro Bono Brochure for more information.
