A citizen dispute/family law mediation is an informal, confidential approach for individuals to resolve an existing dispute and avoid filing a lawsuit and going to court. The settlement/mediation meeting is facilitated by an impartial, professional mediator who listens to both parties and encourages a resolution. By reaching a settlement, both parties avoid court costs and the uncertainty of a trial outcome.
