Executive Director Departure

Kim Homer has been the Executive Director of the OCBA since October of 2014 and worked for the OCBA since 2010.  Kim has grown the membership, supported existed programming, launched new programs, and kept our organization healthy, supportive and fiscally sound.  Kim’s mother is currently very ill and Kim needs to be with her as her sole surviving family member.  Kim’s self-sacrifice is well known to our Bar and it comes as no surprise that Kim would sacrifice for the sake of her mother.

Kim’s last day will be May 31, 2019.  Kim has given us plenty of notice so that we can undertake a search for a successor.  Kim will not be replaced as Kim cannot be replaced.  The Executive Council met and constituted a Search Committee, which I will chair.  The Search Committee will conduct an exhaustive search and interview internal and external candidates for the position.  Those candidates will be narrowed down and presented to the Executive Council for a decision in April.  We hope to have the new Executive Director begin their job in mid-May so that Kim can help with the transition process.  If you are aware of anyone who might serve in the role as Executive Director, please encourage them to apply.  Thank you, Kim, for your dedicated service to the OCBA. We will miss you.
