The leadership of the Orange County Bar Association issues the following statement:
The Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) joins several other bar associations across the country in condemning the recent violence, racism, and xenophobic statements against members of the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Recent attacks around the country are disheartening and an unfortunate reminder that we have more work to do in order to make our communities safe for all.
Part of the OCBA’s mission is to provide for a diverse and inclusive bar and a deep value of community and inclusion on all levels, including a vibrant partnership with the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association. As a Central Florida community, we must stand united against hate-based intolerance of any individual or group, and we must combat the spread of hatred and misinformation that perpetuates violence.
