The OCBA is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its online members and users. We do not collect personally identifiable information about individuals (such as names and postal and/or email addresses) except when it is knowingly provided by such individuals. The OCBA believes that maintaining privacy of members and users is very important. Please read the policy carefully so that you will clearly understand both the OCBA’s commitment to you and your privacy and its method of collecting and using information. The terms in this privacy policy shall govern all interactions with the OCBA through either the OCBA’s website or email.

By using the OCBA’s website or communicating with the OCBA by email, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.

Making Purchases in the OCBA Website

When you make a purchase in the OCBA website, including, but not limited to, the purchase of a CLE product, seminar, new membership, membership renewal, event admission, advertisements, room bookings or other OCBA products and services, we will ask you to provide personally identifiable information necessary to fulfill your order. That information can include your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number and credit card number. This is the same information requested when you place an order by telephone or through the mail. For online orders, the OCBA also requires your email address so you can receive order and shipping confirmation emails and additional communication from the OCBA, as necessary, related to processing your order. When you make an online purchase, your credit card information will be temporarily stored on a secured server. The OCBA will retain the personally identifiable information you provided with your order for its records to facilitate customer service.

Refund Policy

The OCBA will refund payments to both members and non-members based on the information as described by each item for sale. All refunds need to be requested via email, letter or in person within the designated time frame.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Some of the OCBA’s web pages use “cookies” and other tracking technologies. A “cookie” is a small text file that may be used, for example, to collect information about website activity. Some cookies and other technologies may serve to recall personal information previously indicated by a website user.
