The Professionalism Committee presents:
Candor, Conduct, and Consequences: Best Practices for Professional Conduct.
Description:
Section 1: Candor from 9:00 a.m.-9:50 a.m.: The Oath of Admission to the Florida Bar and the Rules Regulating the Florida Bar outline attorneys’ responsibility to show candor and deal with parties in a truthful manner. This section will be a judge’s panel, tentatively consisting of Judge Diana Tennis and Judge Dan Traver.
Section 2: Conduct from 10:00 a.m.-10:50 a.m.: This section will include an examination of attorney conduct with examples from The Florida Bar of attorney disciplinary actions. Tentative speaker will be Patti Savitz.
Section 3: Consequences from 11:00 a.m.-11:50 a.m.: This section will examine violations and attorney sanctions. Tentative speaker Robert Borr.
Location: This will be a live Zoom meeting and login instructions will be emailed 24 hours prior to the event.
