OCBA and the CFAWL for “The 19th Amendment: A Different Perspective.” centennial celebration of the passage of the 19th amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote. A panel of academic scholars (Kenicia Wright, Assistant Professor, University of Central Florida School of Politics, Security and International Affairs) will discuss the significance of this passage as the largest expansion of democracy in the history of our country, including the role of minority women in the suffrage movement.
