Description: On January 3, 2009, the Bitcoin network came into existence. Since then, Bitcoin, and other internet currencies have grown in popularity and credibility. The emergence of these relatively new forms of assets have created challenges for estate planners when drafting or updating traditional estate plans for clients. This CLE will focus on demystifying and explaining how cryptocurrencies function, the different platforms, how to incorporate cryptocurrency in your estate planning for Will-based planning and Trust-based planning, and tips for sample language. .
