Pandemic Planning: What to Expect

Description:A one-hour presentation on insurance policies, typical coverages available, clauses for insureds to make claims and claims examples during a pandemic.

A one-hour panel on the effects of COVID-19 on (i) commercial litigation, including a discussion of how the pandemic changed client goals, discovery practices, litigation strategy, business valuations, and settlements, and (ii) how to advise corporate clients on contract preparation and rescission through force majeure clauses and related contractual provisions.

A one-hour panel on the Court’s proactive response to the pandemic, insights into what worked and what could be improved, the technology needed for a smooth transition from in-person proceedings to virtual ones, practice tips for attorneys conducting virtual hearings and trials, and what to expect from changes to court procedures, caseloads, and reopening.
