    Description: Analyzing Structural Fires, Construction Defects, and Emerging Forensic Technology is a three-hour seminar designed to provide participants with an introduction to forensic technology as well as a working knowledge of the means and methods used to analyze structural fires and identify construction defects. The construction segment defines types of defects, addresses codes and industry standards, and includes methods of investigation and defect testing. The fire portion of the seminar reviews how to determine the origin and cause of a fire, including the detailed process of evidence collection. Finally, the section on forensic technology examines the different types of technology available for the evaluation of insurance-related claims and the possible applications to cases such as construction, property, fire, vehicle accident reconstruction, personal injury, and product failure evaluations.
