Date: Friday, October 1 & Saturday, October 2, 2021
This dynamic, intensive two-day training program designed especially for young lawyers, participants will learn from the experts on how to navigate the court system and practice with professionalism and success. These practical sessions – and much more – will help new attorneys become professional, confident, and successful practitioners in Orange County and beyond. This program provides up to 10 hours of CLE credit and breakfast, lunch and all educational materials are included.

Speaker: Kim Ashby
Kim Ashby is a partner at Foley & Lardner, LLP. She received her BA and JD from UF, clerked for Judge Monterey Campbell at the 2d DCA, and began law practice at Maguire, Voorhis & Wells, P.A. where she was an Associate and Shareholder, ultimately Chairing the Maguire Litigation Department. After 18 years at Maguire, Kim transitioned to Akerman as a Shareholder, and moved to Foley as a partner in 2016. She has been an OCBA member since 1981, and was co-Editor–in-Chief of The Briefs with Maura Smith. Kim is Board Certified in Appellate Practice and Construction Law by The Florida Bar. She is the former chair of the following Committees: Appellate Certification, Construction Law Certification and Board of Legal Specialization and Education.
